Welcome to Unity of Believers Ministries

Hello my name is Andrew Thompson president of Unity of Believers (UOB) Ministries. I want to take a moment and thank you for visiting our web site. I would like to let you know the purpose and vision of UOB as well as share some information regarding our web site.

We believe that as our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ prayed in John 17, that He wants His believers to be one, just as He and the Father are one. Therefore our purpose is to encourage and strengthen unity within the body of Christ. We believe that we can accomplish more for the Kingdom of God working together than we can by working as individual churches. Believing there is only one church, the one made up of all born again children of God, who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

I am reminded of stories told of the pioneer days when all the people would work together to build cabins for one other.  Though the job could have been accomplished alone, it would have been far more difficult for one family to do by themselves.  Working together, they were able to build cabins, even villages far easier, faster, and more efficiently.  In addition, they assisted one another in harvesting their crops, bringing the greatest reward, the same as we strive to bring the greatest reward to our Lord and Savior, by working as one.

We believe in helping people who are experiencing hardships, and may be in need by distributing food and other items God has blessed us with.

There are several areas within the website that you can find information on how the Lord may use UOB to bless you or someone you know, as well as areas you may find the Lord may use you and resources you have access to, to bless others.

The first is the Kingdom Prayer, which is updated each week.  In it we pray for a different church each week. We also pray for the persecuted church as well as Israel and our Government. As the Lord grows Unity of Believers I expect the Kingdom Prayer will be broken down to local areas so that we can pray for more churches and more leaders in local areas.

The second section you should look at is our intercessory prayer area this is where we post prayer needs for any local church this is updated on daily basics. Please also look at the intercessory praise area this is where we post praise reports when God answers our prayers.

The third area you should look at is our resources section. In this section, available resources, which are available for any local church, will be listed.  We also list needed resources; these are things churches have listed, as a need and UOB would like to coordinate the resources to the church that needs them.

The fourth area that you should look at is the news and events section. We post any event that local churches are having that they would like to invite other local churches to join them in. We also use this section to put the dates and times that we will be praying for our leaders and also where we will be having food distribution to help those who are in need. I believe as the Lord grows UOB, this section will be broken down to local areas.

I would also like to ask you to do two things for us; first is to sign up for a free email weekly update that will let you know things God is doing and has done in the previous week with UOB.

The second is your support, we ask for your prayers, that we will, with the Lords help, do all he has called us to do and always show the love of Christ to everyone God has sent across our path.
